Batch Job Server System Requirements

Batch Job Server (BJS) is a batch job management environment for Windows. It manages the scheduling, queuing and execution of Windows batch files (batch jobs) submitted by users, programs or other host systems. BJS is a 32-Bit Windows service. It can be installed in either Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, 2003, XP or Vista. BJS v3.0 works with Windows 2003 server Service Pack 2.

The Intel and DEC Alpha versions of Windows are supported. Support for Alpha systems is provided by using Digital's FX!32. Because BJS requires very little CPU resource, the Intel version of BJS can be used efficiently on a DEC Alpha system with FX!32. All BJS batch jobs are run as native Alpha processes, unless an Intel batch application is executed. Batch Job Server can be installed on either an Intel or DEC Alpha system.
